This project is being completed as a Group 'B' undertaking under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000). Group 'B' projects are considered as major improvements to existing transportation facilities. ​

The Preliminary Design and Class EA for this project was completed and documented in a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR), which is available to view on the Preliminary Design Project Background page (click here). The TESR obtained Environmental Clearance in January 2018, indicating its compliance with environmental regulations and requirements.

 

MTO has updated the Preliminary Design, which has been documented in a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) Addendum. The TESR Addendum documents the EA study, including the evaluation of alternatives, Preliminary Design, anticipated impacts, mitigation measures, consultation completed, and commitments to future work.

 

 

 

 

 

The project has been cleared to proceed to the  Detail Design phase. A Design and Construction Report (DCR) will be prepared to document this phase of the study. The DCR will be made available for 30-day public comment period.
